چکیده
Spawning season, recruitment, and growth of the freshwater prawn Macrobrachium lamarrei were studied in a perennial wetland, northeastern Bangladesh during October 2016 to September 2017. season was estimated based on monthly variations percent ovigerous females. Recruitment using time series length-frequency distributions. We compared von Bertalanffy function (VBGF) Pauly Gaschütz (PGGF) identify any seasonal oscillation rate. Ovigerous females occurred almost throughout year, indicating prolonged spawning with two peaks between March-April (minor peak) June-September (major peak). Both males modal size ~ 8.0 mm carapace length first recruited October, which synchronized major peak season. There seasonality rate; hence, PGGF adopted as best-fitting model describe both sexes. The equations Lt = 17.86 (1- exp [-2.432 (t/12 - 0.072) (1.766/2π) sin {2π 0.982)}] for 23.18 [-1.342 + 0.106) (0.388/2π) 0.209)}] Sexual dimorphism found larger than males. Longevity be 14 months These findings can useful formulate management measures this prawn.

The extensive use of pesticides to control agricultural pests poses a serious threat to many non-target organisms of the aquatic environment such as the freshwater crab, B. guerini. The deleterious influence of the pesticide causes physiological, biochemical, histological and such other disorders in the animal exposed. In the present study impact of an organophosphate pesticide, monocrotophos a...
